WHO WE ARE
Civilian Studios was established in 2012 by two strangers who shared one common need - affordable working space. As they watched their artist community in an Inner South East warehouse building unravel, they decided to take the idea and make it better. With a handful of artists from that space and a building owner who believed in them, Ashley & Jeremy were able to establish Civilian Studios LLC.

Our Mission is to provide affordable space to working artists. We offer a creative environment for artists and small business owners working in a range of mediums and styles. Boasting 40 private artist studios, an enclosed Wood Shop, backyard, community kitchen and conference room, Civilian Studios facilitates an engaging environment that supports artists and small business owners alike.
WHAT WE OFFER
Located just minutes from downtown in an historically industrial part of North Portland, we have over 40 private spaces ranging in size from approximately 150 sq. ft to 400 sq.ft. Access to a fully equipped Wood Shop is available for a nominal charge. Monthly rents range between $250 - $350 on average and include all utilities (heat, electric, water, WiFi, & trash). 24 hour access for all tenants.
GETTING HERE
Our building is tucked in an industrial neighborhood sandwiched between Interstate Ave and the train tracks.
VIA PUBLIC TRANSIT
We are a one minute walk from the Albina/Mississippi MAX station on the yellow line.
BY CAR OR BIKE
We are just a few minutes from downtown Portland, right off Interstate Ave just north of Tillamook St. There is parking available out front.
